Richard Branson’s Values
Every one of us has a hierarchy of values that help direct our daily choices and decisions. The values that lie on top of this hierarchy we consider to be of utmost importance, while the values that lie on the bottom tend not to direct our attention.
Richard Branson’s values have helped shape all the circumstances of his life. And while it is difficult to pinpoint the hierarchy of his values (these can change all of the time), we can however identify some of the primary values that are currently molding his destiny.
Here is a list of values that are driving Richard Branson’s actions and decisions (they are presented in no particular order):

These qualities are a representation of the “visual mask” that Richard Branson projects into the world on a daily basis. These are the qualities that the Media writes about, that Co-workers gossip about; that others try and emulate. However, keep in mind that you cannot cultivate these qualities within your own character if your values and beliefs are in conflict with the external persona that you are trying to project into the world. More about this another time when we discuss how our beliefs and values create our experience of reality.

Omars last blog post..A Plan B?
Thank you for your comments Omar.
From Richard Branson’s perspective life is indeed far more than attaining money. In fact his primary value is his family. That in itself is more important to him than anything else. Additionally, to serve others and to build something you are most passionate about is a wonderful place from which to live our lives.
Adam, I feel like I’m getting closer towards my dreams. But then, sometimes I feel discouraged because I’m not there yet. Let me correct that. I am there. I guess I answered my own question. Recently, I’ve been focusing on building wealth. I work part time, but I want to build passive income streams to help myself as well as my family. I want to travel and enjoy life. Right now, I’m fortunate that I’m single and childless. I’ve opened up two high yield savings accounts. My focus now is providing value for people. I know this is the only way I’ll make money, be happy and feel and inner completion. Any thoughts?
Omars last blog post..A Plan B?
I do agree with you Omar, and I completely understand where you are coming from. I think that when it comes down to it, we are all giving some kind of value to others. However, many people are going about it the wrong way and are struggling to make a living. Before we can effectively provide value to others, we must first learn to value ourselves (our time, energy, creativity, money, etc). And once we value ourselves accordingly, than we are ready to make a living by providing high levels of value for other people. However, if we skip over this step, than we may very well struggle to understand why we are not 100% content or happy within ourselves and with life.
- Value yourself first.
- Put a price on your worth.
- Put a price on your time.
- Put a price on your energy.
- Put a price on your creativity.
Now go out into the world and serve others by giving the highest level of value you can provide them with – giving of your time, energy, money and creativity. Only in this way will we ever find true happiness, completion and material satisfaction. And as much as people may tell us that material things aren’t necessary – they are in fact kidding themselves. We don’t live in the Stone Age; we live in the 21st Century, where material possessions and wealth provide us with opportunities to create a better life for ourselves, for others, and to create a better world.
Hope this helps.
Thanks Adam. I will follow your advice. Very powerful.

Thank you so much. This article is very useful since I am looking for any model to find the secrets of success people. However, I still do not understand how the mind map relate with the success.
Hi Amorn,
A Mind Map is a means of expressing ideas in a simplified format. You can effectively utilize the Richard Branson Mind Map as a reference guide. Simply print it out, stick it up on your wall and refer to it throughout the day.
Because the Mind Map summarizes the blog article, you won’t need to refer to the article in order to get a grasp of the main points and ideas which are presented within the Mind Map itself.
Hope this helps.
