Understanding the Law of Attraction
The universal Law of Magnetic Attraction states that we attract into our lives people, things, and circumstances that correspond with our dominant patterns of emotional thinking.
This universal law has three sub-laws.
- The first is the Law of Attraction which states that our thoughts are like magnets attracting into our lives corresponding circumstances.
- The second is the Law of Expectation which states that whatever we expect with feeling becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
- The third sub-law is the Law of Reflection which states that everything happens first inside of us then corresponds outside of us.
Each law is critical and builds the foundations of the Law of Magnetic Attraction.
This article post only scratches the surface of what it takes to attract what you want most to your life. It is, in essence, a very simplistic version of life that has many more hidden layers and rules that must be fully understood and adhered to if you truly seek to take advantage of the Law of Magnetic Attraction. To get a deep understanding of all the psychological layers reflected within this process, please refer to the MasterMind Matrix.
The Law of Attraction
The law states that…
We magnetically attract circumstances, events and people that are in harmony with our dominant thoughts, emotions and patterns of self-talk.
This means that what we think about most of the time, how we think about things, talk to ourselves, and the emotions we experience throughout our days, determine the events, circumstances, and people that we tend to attract into our lives.
The law states that…
We magnetically attract into our lives that which we talk about most of the time.
This not only includes how we talk to ourselves but also encapsulates how we talk to others, how we talk about our circumstances and our life experience as we go about our day.
The law states that you are the sculptor of your future and your ultimate life destiny; that you are the painter of your life’s canvas and experience; and that you are the architect of your life circumstances and attitude.
For better or worse, whether good or bad, the universe simply does not judge how we sculpt our lives, what paint we use on our canvas, or how we design our circumstances. It simply responds to the intentions of your creative mind by bringing forth into your life events, people and circumstances that correspond with your dominant patterns of thinking, talking and emotional longings.
The Law of Expectation
The law states that…
What you expect within yourself with confidence doesn’t disappoint and becomes your self-fulfilling prophecy.
This simply means that our expectations about ourselves, our lives and our circumstances will always come to fruition one way or another as physical manifestations of our reality.
If we expect that good things will always happen to us, then good things will happen even if at first they may appear unfortunate or unlucky circumstances.
What we believe is our only path to a destination is in fact one of many that may take several surprising turns and twists before the destination itself is reached.
In such instances, we must maintain a state of positive expectancy in order to identify the opportunities that may come our way as we make progress towards our goals and objectives.
The law states that…
What you expect from people and situations determines your attitude towards people and situations.
This simply means that our expectations toward people and circumstances affect and influence the attitude we project out into the world. Moreover, this attitude is accompanied by corresponding thoughts, self-talk, and emotions that further attract into our lives those things that are in harmony with our dominant psychological patterns.
The law states that…
People behave in accordance with other people’s expectations of them.
Consequently, people do not become what they make of themselves, but rather adapt their behavior, thoughts, emotions, and self-talk to the influence of their peer group. This is a significant statement because it means that who you are and what you are becoming is simply a by-product of the influence of those closest to you. Their expectations shape your personality, decisions, actions, and behaviors on a daily basis — potentially leading you down a path that is not of your choosing.
The law states that…
People are only reflections of your attitude and emotions. Likewise people are mirrors of your inner word and of your psychological frame-of-mind.
This simply means that what you see in others is simply a reflection of who you are within yourself and what you are projecting out into the world on a daily basis. Therefore if you don’t like something about another person, the key is to first look within yourself and identify what within you is causing this response.
All solutions lie within us and not outside of us…
Triggers Formation of Beliefs
The Law of Expectation triggers the formation of beliefs you have about yourself, life and others. This simply means that whatever you expect from yourself and from life, influences how you think, talk and feel about circumstances, which therefore affects what you believe about these circumstances.
The Law of Reflection
The law states that…
Everything happens first inside of you, then corresponds outside of you. Additionally, nothing is achieved outside of you unless it is first created within.
This means that you cannot experience anything in the real world without first creating it within yourself via your thoughts, self-talk and the emotions you project out into the world.
The law states that…
Your circumstances reflect your inner states and frame-of-mind.
This simply means that the current circumstances you are experiencing in your life are the result of the inner states (emotions) and frames-of-mind (perspectives and beliefs) you have had on a consistent basis over an extended period of time.
The law states that…
Your outer world corresponds with your dominant thoughts and emotions.
Your outer world is a reflection of your inner psychological universe that encapsulates thoughts, emotions, beliefs, convictions, values, attitude and the perspectives you accept as truth.
The law states that…
Your level of wealth, intelligence and health is a reflection of how you think consistently about yourself, others and circumstances.
This is very good news because it means that anything you don’t like about yourself or about your circumstances, can, in fact, be transformed over time by making progressive shifts within your psychological makeup. Transformational Analysis
Ask yourself the following set of self-analysis questions that are designed to help you alter your inner world of thought in order to attract what you want most into your outer world of experience:
How does my outer world reflect my inner world of thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, emotions and convictions?
How does the world harmonize with my thinking?
What in me is causing my problems?
What are the flaws in my thinking patterns?
How must I alter my thoughts to transform my life?
The Do’s of Magnetic Attraction
Here are a set of straightforward rules, strategies, and guidelines that will help you attract what you want most into your life.
Transform Inner Aspects of Mind
It is important to remember that nothing can happen outside of you unless it is first created within you via your thoughts, emotions, self-talk, and beliefs. Therefore by transforming the inner aspects of your mind (the cause), you will gain ascendancy and control over the reality that is outside of you (the effect).
Ask Solution-Focused Questions
Asking solution focused questions will enable you to focus on what you want to do, be, have and achieve in your life, while at the same time redirecting your thoughts away from your problems, challenges and the thing that you don’t want to experience. Additionally, these questions will help stimulate your creativity, therefore opening the doors of new insights and opportunities that you may not have been aware of before.
Take Full Responsibility for Actions and Circumstances
The moment we begin to take full responsibility for our actions and life circumstances is the moment we begin to gain control over our lives.
We must all reach a point in our lives where we fully appreciate and accept that the life we are experiencing at this very moment is a result of what we have been projecting out into the world from within on a consistent basis over an extended period of time. It is only after we take full responsibility for our circumstances that we begin to shape our lives on purpose and mold our destiny with conscious hands.
Expect that Your Problems are Not Permanent
A problem is simply a fancy name for an opportunity that you haven’t as yet identified.
Problems are there to alert us to errors in our thinking, and to bring forth into our awareness alternate ways of doing things that will help us get what we want most in our lives. Additionally, it is important to expect that solutions can and will always be found and that anything is possible at any time given the right frame-of-mind.
Change How You Think About…
To transform your life circumstances you must begin by changing how you think about yourself, people, events, and the world around you.
It is said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result. The same principle applies here.
If you continue to think about your life, others and circumstances in the same way as you always have, then you will always have what you have always had and nothing more.
Change Yourself First
Finally, and most importantly you must change yourself first (the cause) in order to change the external circumstances of your life (the effects). If you misunderstand this principle and flip it over the other way, then you will suffer the consequences of a frustrating existence that brings you nothing but resistance, dissatisfaction, and unfulfilled dreams.
The Dont’s of Magnetic Attraction
Here is a list of a couple of things that you should not do if want to attract what you want most into your life.
Don’t Try Changing People or the World
The only thing we control 100% of the time is our frame-of-mind.
When millions of people suddenly change their frames-of-mind about specific issues or circumstances, then a natural shift occurs that creates a wave of influence — dramatically transforming and altering societal perspectives almost instantly overnight.
Just by changing yourself, you can over time open the floodgates to new opportunities and understandings that can drastically change the course of history for all mankind.
Don’t Talk and Think About What You Don’t Want
When you talk and think about what you don’t want in your life, you naturally call to action the Law of Magnetic Attraction which corresponds to your dominant psychological patterns and begins to draw what you don’t want into your life experience.
Finally, it is important to remember that the Law of Magnetic Attraction is neutral and doesn’t choose whether something will be to your liking or not. It rather just brings forth anything that is consistently aligned to its magnetic principles.
Concluding Thoughts
The universal Law of Magnetic Attraction is a powerful and all-encompassing law that determines and dictates what we have or don’t have in our lives. It can either work for us if we begin accepting responsibility for our own psychology and circumstances, or it can work against us if we go about our days with an unconscious frame-of-mind — blaming events, people and circumstances outside of ourselves for our life predicaments. The law is neutral, and therefore how you use it rests completely in your conscious hands.
